Advantages of our shafts
• High load bearing capacity with small specific weight
• Totally impermeable to water and non-porous
• High chemical stability
• High resistance to erosion
• Simple pipe joining, i.e. shorter shaft installation times
• Low maintenance costs
• Low transport costs
• Highly efficient sealing of pipe to shaft joints
• Appropriate flexibility and geometrical stability, resistance to
damages caused by soil movement
• Guaranteed shaft quality in any application
• Long service life
Method of installation
On lawns, the shafts are installed on compacted and levelled soil patches, while on drive-on surfaces such as house yards, they are protected by cast iron shaft covers of appropriate load bearing capacities. Take special care to provide a compacted and levelled soil basis to a depth of 140 cm. Under the shaft, the soil must be compacted to 92% standard Proctor as a minimum. During back-filling and compacting, do not apply heavy construction machinery. On drive-on surfaces, water meter thermo shafts must be protected by cast iron covers of appropriate load bearing capacities. The cast iron cover minimum dimension is 600 x 600 mm. The cast iron frame with cover must be cast in concrete slab. The cast iron cover must not rest on the water meter thermo shaft. Minimum clearance: 5 cm.
